Tetra Pak encourages Myanmar mothers to learn about child nutrition and food safety

Today, Tetra Pak, the world’s leading food processing and packaging solutions company, hosts ‘Meet and Lunch with Celebrity Moms’ event at Melia Hotel, aiming to spark conversation between Myanmar mothers, the well-known figures and nutritionist around child nutrition, and UHT milk products in aseptic cartons being ‘safe and convenient’ for urban mothers.

Guest panelists - the nutritionist, the celebrity parents and 20 mothers have participated in the educational meetup to unravel and address how mothers in Myanmar should navigate feeding their children, healthy, tasty and safe food through discussions. Highlighted topics are child nutrition for healthy growth and development, using knowledge of food safety to choose the right milk products for children and convenience of Tetra Pak cartons for the modern lifestyle of Myanmar families.

The special guests of this event share their views and opinions recognizing the benefits of the Tetra Pak cartons when it comes to ensuring food safety:

  • The nutritionist Dr. Win Win Myint shares her expertise and highlights the importance of food safety, as unsafe food and drinks can seriously affect children’s growth and development. Milk provides necessary nutrients and vitamins for children and the aseptic technology helps keep them safe for months with no need of preservatives.
  • The mother and actress Thet Mon Myint focus on Tetra Pak expertise to ensure food safety: with an aseptic (bacteria-free) technology and a six-layer carton packaging, milk products are protected from spoiling.
  • As parents, He Lay and Myat Thiri Lin share their experience with the rest of Myanmar parents: UHT milk products in Tetra Pak cartons are easy to carry and can be readily consumed on the go, which makes them convenient snack options for their children that also contributes to their wellbeing.

“Mothers are the key decision makers when it comes to grocery shopping in Myanmar households. So, they need to be well-informed to make the right decisions for their children’s nutrition needs. “Meet and Lunch with Celebrity Moms” event aims to encourage them to be mindful about the benefits of UHT and how it protects the goodness of milk products”, further explains Mr. CheeChoy Tang, Key Account Director of Tetra Pak Myanmar.

This event follows the launch of Tetra Pak’s ‘Protects What’s Good’ campaign in 2018, reaffirming the commitment to driving food safety and providing safe and quality food in Myanmar since establishing office in the country in 2016.
